True Horror

As horrific as scenes from movies can appear, real life can be much more terrible. I have heard people talking about the war in the Middle East and saying that their solution is to, " pull out and nuk the whole place." The United States is still the only nation to use these terrible weapons in war. I can't say if it was right or wrong in 1945 to use atomic weapons to force an end to WWII; but I can say that it is wrong to ever think about using them again.

The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum has a collection of drawings and paintings done by survivors of the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. HBO this month is airing a documentary titled White Light, Black Rain which also features some of this art.

Absolutley horrible what's happening to the world and our fellow human beings.

Maybe we monster fans have a better idea of the difference between fun fantasy horrors and the real thing.

I agree. I can watch most any horror film... Yet, sometimes, I can't bring myself to watch the news.
