Fall Foliage 2008

Being a big fan of the Fall, I begin to check out the foliage cams around the country at this time of year. So far, here is the first sign I have seen that the colored leaves are on the march. This is Mt. Washington in New Hampshire from today, September 25, 2008.

I wonder what trees are beginning to turn in this webcam photo? In Pennsylvania, when I was a boy, the sumac bushes, shrubs, were a bright red during this time of year; and, maybe , the maples were the next to show off their colors.

Columbus Day is my marker for full-on foliage.
