• A part to the definition of a monster is, "...having structural defects or deformaties." An old question and one that did cause quite a bit on controversy 500 years ago was, "Did Adam and Eve have belly buttons?"

How much of a deviation from normal (physical, emotional or anything else) does it take to be labled a grotesque monster? Even identical twins have physical differences between themselves. If you were to take the definiton of normal to an extreme, each of us could be considered a monster by someone. "Who is setting the standards for normality," is an important consideration.
