Last Candy Corn

No candy gobblers visited last night. I ate my pumpkin and chicken soup ( I always put chicken apple sausage, a bit of hard apple cider, a slog of maple syrup and a pinch of cinnamon in with the regular chicken, onions, canned pumpkin, etc.) and watched "Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein." I guess that movie represents the spirit of Halloween to me - a bit of innocent scary monster fun.

Bummer, man. No tricks or treats? We had 'em by the truckloads, literally. I prepared for 120 zombies (full-size hersheys and snickers) and still ran out at 8:15. Had to start handing out company pens and pencils to keep the ghouls at bay for the final minutes...Uncle Ernie should make an annual migration.

You've reminded me of how great that film is. Now I gotta find it... I usually retreat (pun. hahaha...) when the trick or treaters are taller than me.
