It is always a bit odd to see Steve Ditko's art inked by someone other than himself. In this American Comics Group's Forbidden Worlds 138, from 1966, Sal Trapani's inks are not bad at all - they seem to smooth out some of Ditko's idiosyncrasies and produce a nice melding of the two artist's separate styles. It seems that Trapani inked more of Ditko's pencils for ACG books during this time period.
I can hear the melodramatic One Step Beyond style music playing in my head as I read this story.
I ran across the original for this story for sale at Heritage Auctions Galleries in Dallas. It looks like it didn't sale so I'm guessing that it may have had a high reserve.
