Jim Woodring is one of my favorite cartoonists. His work is hard for marketers to catagorize. I recently ran across a podcast interview with him, conducted by Ian Greeb, where he talkes about the label of cartoonist and making a living as an artist.

It is not all that difficult to find articles about his work. His images seem easy to discribe and have a comfortable timeless quality; but they are darn difficult to explain.
