It is the beginning of Autumn in the Northern Hemisphere. I was thinking about Johnny Appleseed.
From what I have recently read, Johnny Appleseed, John Chapman, actually planted cider apple seeds. In colonial times cider was the most common beverage. Water was often not safe to drink and most homesteads had an apple orchard.
