• Help! Gerta, in Hans Christian Andersen's
The Snow Queen, gets help from the Robber-Girl and a strong reindeer.
The Snow Queen is my favorite Hans Christian Andersen story. I wonder why Disney never appropriated it? The story has a female heroine, ceatures, an evil witch, an adventurous journey - lots of stuff for a Disney adaption. Maybe it's a good thing they never did.

Hey, I want to ask you sth: Have you used a refference for this picture? If so, can you tell me where you got it from? Because it looks just like a picture from my old fairy-tale-book, which I lost. I've been searching for it on the internet for 2 months! :)

Sorry I can't help with any specific reference sources on the layout. As I remember, when I did this, I looked at some old books I had and tried to illustrate parts of the story that had not been illustrates yet, in those editions. The costume was from something like a National Geographic Kids magazine, I walked off with from my dentist's office. The reindeer was from Eadweard Muybridge's Animals in Motion. Good luck in your search!
