Several of my recent posts have featured comic book covers in my collection from House of Mystery. DC began publishing House of Mystery in 1951. Because of that book's success, in 1956 DC added a similar book, House of Secrets, to their line up of comics. Both books began featuring fantastic creatures, monsters and aliens on their covers during the late 1950's and early 1960's. Those were prime monster mania days!art @ DC Comics
