Joe Kubert is one of the great comic book illustrators. During his long career, which he began at the age of 12 in 1938, he has been involved in almost every aspect of comics. He has been an artist, writer, editor and educator. 
His art is instantly recognizable for it's energetic, unlabored inking style and moodiness. He is one of the few comic book artists that have almost always done all of the pencilling and inking on their own work. Because he completes the work himself, his art has a quality of a unique and personal vision.art @ DC Comics
