In September of 2007 I thought I would indulge myself by taking one of the correspondence courses offered at Joe Kubert's World of Cartooning. I just finished and sent in this 3rd lesson.One thing I have learned, so far, is to respect artists who draw and ink their own work in the comic book field. It takes a tremendous amount of effort to produce one decent looking page. I just can't imagine how the legendary master cartoonists did it at such a productive rate. I would think, like with many careers, a love for the work and paying the mortgage are excellent motivators.
