I had some free time last weekend and drew another scary Santa. With the terrible events happening in Connecticut today, it reminded me that I often play with the imagery of horror and violence as a way to deal with what is uncontrollable in my life - by poking a bit of fun at the absurdity of the contrast between innocence and evil; but reality can still be more frightening than anything in my imagination.
